May the shady memes cease and worshipping resume: Beyoncé has spoken.
The pop superstar released a statement with husband Jay Z to the Associated Press about the elevator fight with Solange that made headlines around the world. In the statement, they said that the family worked through the incident and that both Jay Z and Solange have taken responsibility for their part in the “private matter that has played out in the public”. They also took to Solange’s defense, insisting that she wasn’t intoxicated during the fight and explaining that “families have problems.”
Welp, that’s the end of that. I promise it’s the last time we will ever hear about this incident from them again (unless the bodyguard is paid like $100 million or something, but no one is going to risk angering the Carters, so that will never happen).
